About Kadir Has University
"The late Turkish billionaire and philanthropist Kadir Has founded Kadir Has University, usually referred to as KHAS, in 1997. It is a foundation university located in Fatih, Istanbul.
The Faculty of Art and Design, the Faculty of Communication, the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, and the Faculty of Law are the five faculties that comprise Kadir Has University. Kadir Has institution is a research institution that seeks to create both students with the highest standards of competency and high-quality research by creating a new, application- and project-based educational paradigm. Today, Prof. Dr. M. Sondan Durukanoğlu Feyiz serves as the university's rector.
One of these programs, the Core Program, seeks to break away from the conventional educational approach and provide first-year students with the critical thinking and creative questioning abilities they will require in all spheres of society. By 2019, they also want to train graduates who can work anywhere in the world using the New Education Model, another educational system they developed. "
