  • 1. How much does it cost to apply?
    The Cal State Apply application fee is $70 for each campus program you apply to. This fee is nonrefundable and may not be transferred to another term.​
  • 2. What are the basic graduate student admission requirements?
    The minimum requirements for admission to graduate or postbaccalaureate studies at a CSU campus are in accordance with university regulations as well as Title 5, chapter 1, subchapter 3 of the California Code of Regulations. Specifically, you will qualify for admission if you: have completed a four-year college course of study and hold an acceptable baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association, or shall have completed equivalent academic preparation as determined by appropriate campus authorities; are in good academic standing at the last college or university attended; have attained a grade point average of at least 2.5 in an acceptable earned baccalaureate degree; have attained a grade point average of at least 2.5 (A = 4.0) in the last 60 semester (90 quarter) units attempted; and meet the professional, personal, scholastic, and other standards for graduate study, including qualifying examinations and specific course and/or grade prerequisites, as appropriate campus authorities may prescribe.
  • 3. What if I already took the SAT or ACT test and submitted my scores?
    ​If you have already taken and submitted your ACT or SAT sc​ores, CSU campuses will not use them in the admission evaluation process to determine who gets admitted. If you are accepted to a CSU campus the scores will be used as one of the measures to place you in the proper mathematics and English courses.
