1. How much does it cost to apply? The Cal State Apply application fee is $70 for each campus program you apply to. This fee is nonrefundable and may not be transferred to another term.2. What are the basic graduate student admission requirements? The minimum requirements for admission to graduate or postbaccalaureate studies at a CSU campus are in accordance with university regulations as well as Title 5, chapter 1, subchapter 3 of the California Code of Regulations. Specifically, you will qualify for admission if you: have completed a four-year college course of study and hold an acceptable baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association, or shall have completed equivalent academic preparation as determined by appropriate campus authorities; are in good academic standing at the last college or university attended; have attained a grade point average of at least 2.5 in an acceptable earned baccalaureate degree; have attained a grade point average of at least 2.5 (A = 4.0) in the last 60 semester (90 quarter) units attempted; and meet the professional, personal, scholastic, and other standards for graduate study, including qualifying examinations and specific course and/or grade prerequisites, as appropriate campus authorities may prescribe.3. What if I already took the SAT or ACT test and submitted my scores? If you have already taken and submitted your ACT or SAT scores, CSU campuses will not use them in the admission evaluation process to determine who gets admitted. If you are accepted to a CSU campus the scores will be used as one of the measures to place you in the proper mathematics and English courses.
