Aim of the program is to prepare competitive and competent
bachelor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation through outcomebased teaching approach and development of clinical/practical skills
relevant to the learning outcomes, able to:
apply basic biomedical research methods and evidence-based
practice to the process of physical therapy examination,
evaluation, intervention, and rehabilitation management,
based on biopsychosocial approach, to prevent or remediate
impairments, functional limitations and disabilities as related
to movement and health across all ages, to improve
functional movement potential and quality of life;
provide rehabilitation services in both in-patient and outpatient settings, based on the multi/interdisciplinary team
approach, utilizing appropriate interpersonal skills;
conduct in professional and ethical manner, with responsible
approach to societal needs;
develop independent learning skills/activities and foster
continuing professional growth and life-long learning.
Eligibility Requirements
Academic qualification: Completion of 12th grade from a recognized board with a minimum required percentage is 65%
Age requirement: Must be at least 17 years old at the time of application.
Entrance exam: May need to pass an entrance exam depending on the university's policy.
Language proficiency: English language proficiency may be required for international students.
SSC & HSC should be from Science.

citizens of Georgia/foreign countries who have received complete general education in Georgia: 1) National exams; 2) English language B2 level; For entrants listed by the Order No. 224 / n of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia (see http://www.mes.gov.ge/content.php?id=1131&lang=geo): 1) Approvement of the procedures provided by the Order No. 224/n of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and submitting relevant documents. 2) English language B2 level. 3) Admission exam/interview in Biology-Chemistry-Physics (Basic Issues); The following certificates can prove the knowledge of English language (B2): TOEFL, IELTS, FCE and CERTUS. If the applicant does not have the above-mentioned certificate, the English language competence will be proved at university exam.

Curriculam
The program is designed using the methodology of planning and
developing educational programs at TSMU. The program’s content
fully covers the requirements for admission and learning outcomes.
The educational program includes teaching plan and appropriate
Syllabuses. The learning outcomes of the educational program are in
line with the National Qualifications Framework. The program sets
learning objectives, learning outcomes and the qualification. The
program is developed in accordance with the European Credit
Transfer System (ECTS). Educational program is focused on student
and learning outcomes.
Each course in the curriculum is corresponding to the appropriate
stage of learning, and it is based on the knowledge and skills
acquired by the student, and is itself a prerequisite for mastering the
inherited component. Program is multi-component and structured
as sequential order of blocks within preclinical, clinical and
consolidation stages of the curriculum. The educational program includes:
Preclinical Stage - Biomedical Sciences; Humanities,
Behavioral and Social Sciences; Pathology; The Fundamentals of
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Basics of Diagnostics.
Clinical Stage - Clinical Sciences; Functional Diagnosis in
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Therapies in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Consolidation Stage - Pulmonary Rehabilitation;
Cardiovascular Rehabilitation; Physical Rehabilitation in Neurology;
Physical Rehabilitation in Pediatrics; Physical Rehabilitation in
Geriatrics; Physical Rehabilitation in Traumatology & Orthopedics.

The graduates – Bachelors of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
will be employed in the rehabilitation departments of multi-profile
hospitals and specialized clinics, in multi-profile and specialized
rehabilitation clinics/centers, in ambulatory settings, resorts and
wellness centers, private clinics, sports clubs and sports
rehabilitation clinics/centers, in different level of educational
organization, schools, also in community-based rehabilitation
programs/services.
